My name is Justine Olivia McCloskey. I graduated with honours from Toronto Metropolitan University's BFA Film Studies program in 2013, specializing in directing and production design. In 2012, I was awarded the prestigious Norman Jewison Award for Innovation in Filmmaking. I was also nominated for the 2013 Dean's Essay Award for my essay "Grete Suffraunce: Dysentery and The Crusades." Since then, my writing and photography have been published internationally.

After working as a Photographer and Video Producer at THP Agency, I attended the University of Toronto and received my MA in Art History while TA-ing media and photography courses with both UofT and OCADu. I recently worked as a Creative at HumanContact Inc. where I produced and directed commercials, radio spots, and internal content for clients across Canada. My OAC-funded still life food photo series will be exhibited this spring, and I am looking forward to completing my LIFT-funded short film this summer. As of September 2024, I am a candidate at U of Guelph for yet another MA, but this time in medieval women’s medicine.

You can typically find me amidst piles of cookbooks, camera in hand! Feel free to say hi!
